Music Book for Thanksgiving

Looking for a great read aloud book for music class in November? I love the John Feierabend series of beautifully illustrated songs. Feierabend’s picture book Over the River and Through the Woods (illustrated by Kian Sylvester) is available on Amazon for quick delivery.

How I like to introduce song picture books:

1st lesson: Sing the song as students enter the room.
Later in class, Read the book to the students.

2nd lesson: Teach the song to the students as I sing/You sing.
Either read the book again (if short) or show selected pictures as teaching lyrics.

3rd lesson: Review the song by singing it as students enter the room.
Have the students sing the book with me as I turn pages.
